Key Responsibilities
- Assemble electric motors and gearboxes as per drawings and work instructions
- Fit and align shafts, bearings, gears, housings, and couplings
- Perform motor winding assembly, rotor–stator fitting, and end-shield assembly
- Assemble gearboxes including gear trains, seals, and lubrication systems
- Ensure proper tolerances, alignment, and torque specifications
- Conduct functional checks, run tests, and noise/vibration inspections
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in motor assembly or gearbox assembly
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and BOMs
- Strong knowledge of mechanical fitting, alignment, and tolerances
- Experience with bearings, gears, shafts, and seals
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
Preferred Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Fitter, Mechanical, or related trade
- Experience in industrial motors, gear motors, or transmission systems
- Knowledge of electrical basics related to motor assembly
- Exposure to quality systems (ISO, 5S, TPM)
