Role & Responsibilities –
- Plan and schedule production activities in the winding shop to ensure that manufacturing processes are completed on time and within budget
- Address and resolve any technical issues related to winding machines, equipment breakdowns, or process inefficiencies.
- Ensure winding machines and equipment are set up properly for each production run, ensuring calibration is correct for consistent quality
- Monitor product quality through inspections and testing to ensure compliance with customer specifications and internal quality standards
- Lead and supervise a team of operators and technicians, providing training, support, and feedback on performance
- Prepare and organize the winding shop for internal and external ISO (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.) audits by ensuring that all documents, processes, and records are up to date
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) based on audit findings, working closely with cross-functional teams to address non-conformities
- Act as the point of contact for auditors, facilitating smooth audit processes and ensuring that all necessary documentation is available and accurate.
Key skills required –
- Previous experience 4+ years in electric motor component manufacturing (Winding) or a similar industry.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, process improvement, and quality control is highly desirable
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001, or similar standards and experience managing audits
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in production planning and control software (ERP, MES)
- Excellent communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and auditors
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing software (e.g., ERP systems)
